The Shakespeare is located in the centre of Manchester, within easy access of trams, buses and ten minutes from the main railway station. Historically, the complete pub was moved from Chester in 1926 where it was known as the Shambles.
Today the Shakespeare retains the hostoric black and white Tudor facade, old wooden floors, oak beams and even a ghost, believed to be a kitchen maid!
